Weather in Mallorca

Mallorca has a Mediterranean climate and is characterised by its mild temperatures and irregular seasonal rainfall.

Mallorca in Summer

During the summer months, the island is at its best. Holiday makers choose to come here for all that it has to offer, from the sea to the mountains.

Due to the great warm weather and the variety of coves and beaches in Mallorca, summer is perfect for relaxing on the 500 kilometres (310 miles) of coastline.

Mallorca in Winter

Despite being a popular sun and sea destination, the island of Mallorca is still very much in demand in the cooler months. This is because the average temperatures in winter are just over 10ºC and rarely dip below 5ºC.

Thanks to the spectacular Serra de Tramontana mountain range and the incredible interior landscape of the island, the winter weather in Mallorca makes it an ideal spot for cultural and mountain tourism.

The Best Time to Travel to Mallorca

The best time to visit Mallorca is in the summer, due to the perfect weather for enjoying its spectacular beaches, which are the main attraction on the island.

We also recommend visiting the island in the Spring since the climate also offers warm temperatures and fewer tourists. Spring is also the perfect time to admire the natural beauty of the island, as well as learn about its culture and history.

Although you can visit Mallorca at any time of the year, we highly recommend going between the months of May and September, when the weather is best and there are more activities to do on the island.
