Valldemosa
With an unrivalled location in the heart of the mountains and surrounded by Mallorca’s native flora and fauna, Valldemossa is one of the island’s most beautiful towns. Its stone houses transport visitors back in time, and along its cobbled streets, you can feel the weight of history at every turn.
Valldemosa is one of the small pockets of population in the Serra Tramuntana mountain range, meaning it is surrounded by an amazing landscape with the added attraction of only being 17 kilometres (10 mi) from the city of Palma.
A Village For Relaxing
Valldemossa is one of the best-known villages in Mallorca for having welcomed and inspired a multitude of artists. Its pleasant streets and squares have served as inspiration for great musical and literary figures such as Frederic Chopin, Miguel de Unamuno, Rubén Darío and Azorín.
Every summer, concerts and tributes are held in memory of these great names of culture. Some of these can be enjoyed in the marvellous surroundings of the cloister or the gardens of the Charterhouse.
