Palma Metro
The metro of Palma is a fast and efficient way to get around not only the capital of Mallorca, but also a convenient option if you're planning to travel to other, more distant parts of the island.
Mallorca’s metro is one of the easiest and fastest ways to get around—not just within the capital, but also beyond its city limits. Its two Y-shaped lines cover a large part of the island, making it easy for visitors to reach many of Mallorca’s main tourist attractions.
General Information
Mallorca’s metro was inaugurated in 2007, making Palma the fifth city in Spain to have a metro network. Today, its two lines cover more than 15 kilometres (9.3 miles).
Lines
The M1 line of the Palma Metro consists of 9 stations and stretches over 7.2 kilometres (4.4 miles), while the M2 line also has 9 stations (three of which are shared with the M1) and runs for 8.5 kilometres (5.2 miles).
In addition to serving the areas around Palma, the reach of the Palma Metro extends further through regional rail connections, making it possible to travel to more distant destinations. With the metro you can reach areas such as Inca, Lluc, Manacor, Cala Mesquida, Cala Agulla, Cala Pi, Es Trenc, Llucmajor, San Telmo, and Colònia de Sant Jordi.
