Capocorb Vell

Capocorb Vell is one of the most important archaeological sites in Mallorca, thanks to its excellent conservation. This prehistoric town was one of the most extensive on the island and one of the first to be dug up.

A Journey Back to Prehistoric Times

Settled in Mallorca during the 14th century B.C., the Talayotic people established themselves on the island by building defensive structures to mark their territory. Made from largeunworked stone blocks, these imposing circular or square constructions, called talayots, could reach up to two or three stories high. 

The Talaiotic settlement of Capocorb Vell in Mallorca consists of three circular talayots and two square ones, surrounded by several smaller structures.
