Platja de s'Arenal
Located on the southeastern edge of Mallorca, near Palma, Platja de s'Arenal is a pleasant—though often crowded—beach known for its pristine, fine sand. Its lively atmosphere and easy access make it one of the island’s most popular spots.
Tourism Hotspot
Platja de s'Arenal emerged at the end of the 19th century as a small village of fishermen and stonecutters. Its transformation into a major tourist destination began with the construction of the first hotel in 1914—marking the start of a steady wave of development that followed in the years to come.
Nowadays, right next to Platja de s'Arenal is one of the largest concentrations of hotels, not only in Mallorca, but in the whole of the Mediterranean. Between the concrete strip and the tranquil coastline, there's a pleasant promenade ideal for strolling along at sunset.
Surrounded by dreamy turquoise waters, Platja de s'Arenal is divided into two parts: Platja de s'Arenal Grande and Platja de s'Arenal Petit. Along the shore, you can find shaded areas lined with big trees, offering a welcome escape from the intense sun on those hot summer days. You can also find all kinds of attractions, such as water parks and boat rentals.
Plenty of Amenities, Lots of Crowds
Always lively and packed with people, Platja de s'Arenal in Mallorca is located in an area with a great nightlife scene, making it a favourite destination for young Germans in search of sun and partying.
Platja de s'Arenal has all kinds of amenities, including a large free car park, restaurants, showers and sun loungers for hire. It's a great option for a day at the beach, but if you're looking for a quiet beach to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle, then this beach may not be the best choice for you.
